LOIS FREEMAN-FOX
Lois Freeman-Fox has worked in many media. She holds a G.F.A. from Cornell University and an M.A. in Sculpture from UC Berkeley. She studied film at N.Y.U. and currently teaches film editing at Brooks Institute
She began her artistic career as an environmental sculptor, worked as a feature film editor in Hollywood and is currently drawing and painting using Corel Painter and a Wacom graphics tablet.
Freeman-Fox's landscapes are inspired by the agricultural beauty of the Santa Clara Valley and are created using a combination of photography, collage, digital and acrylic paint. She lives in Fillmore with her husband, guitarist and lutenist, Stuart Fox.
DOROTHEA HEGER
Dorothea Heger was born in Bavaria, Germany and has had a passion for art since her childhood. She discovered early that her true artistic inspiration came from nature. Her passion for organic beauty fed her desire to capture the art of the natural world. Dorothea uses water media to print on water color paper or canvas. Her artwork bridges the boundaries between realism and abstract expressionism. Many of her works have been selected to exhibit in Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Germany, Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
TAMMY CARLSON
Tammy Carlson is a self-taught artist. Her medium of choice is chalk pastels. She has been producing fine art for over 17 years and has won several awards. She was featured in The Artist's Magazine by an extensive 6-page article that focused on her techniques of "painting with pastels" of which fine detailed artworks are produced. She has exhibited her work in the Pastels Society of America's 'Pastel's Only' show in New York in addition to showing her work on the West Coast. Tammy also produces faux textures on the interiors of homes and businesses. She effectively produced an Egyptian style lobby at the Roxy Stadium 11 Theater in Camarillo, CA which was an accomplishment recognized by the Ventura County Star newspaper. Tammy Carlson resides with her family in Ventura County.

| "GALLERY AT THE CROWNE" PRESENTS "FALL '09/WINTER '10"
At "Gallery at the Crowne", the "FALL '09/WINTER '10" exhibit is fully installed and will remain on display until January 10, 2010. The Artists' Reception for this exhibit will be in late October or early November. The exhibiting areas of "the gallery" consists of various wall space on the 1st floor of the hotel inclusive of the Business Center, the Aqua Bar and C-Street Restaurant. Everything shown at "Gallery at the Crowne" is available for public viewing and is for sale. There are 3 exhibit rotations a year with this one being the longest running one.
The "FALL '09/WINTER '10" exhibit consists of 12 different artist's work totaling over 50 individual fine art pieces. The materials used to produce these artworks range from oil paint, to watercolor to mix media. The imagery ranges from realistic, impressionistic to abstract and the size of these artworks span from 5 ' x 6' to 1 1/2 " x 2".
The Curator, Terry Bray, strives to supply a wide variety of subject matter, styles and artists to keep each exhibit fresh and interesting. With over 30 years experience of supporting the arts in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, and being an established sculptor herself, Terry Bray has a keen eye for some great art. In an effort for everyone to own some fine art she offers a 0% interest, lay away payment plan that is customized to the needs of the purchaser while protecting the interests of the artist. She is especially passionate about the promotion of Ventura County artists and boasts "You may find some great art else where, but you won't find better art anywhere!"
The Gallery At The Crowne is located where California Street meets the Sea.
