GALLERY OF THE CROWNE
EXHIBIT "SUMMER"
On Thursdays, July 30, 2009, an Artists' Reception was held and hosted by the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel in the hotel's Aqua Bar Lounge. The reception was a way for the public to meet the artists in person. This event is a celebration of the "Summer" art exhibit of the "Gallery Of The Crowne" displays 50 pieces of art by eleven artists. Included were food and drink specials.
Among the participating artists are: G.Childress, Phyllis Doyon, Vonder Gray, Sarah Kalvin, Lynn Letourneau, Meaghan Myers, Beatrix Rohlsen, Jill Sattler, Jane Shanahan, Maggie Targoni, Gerald Zwers.
If you missed the event itself, the exhibit runs until August 16th and you still have opportunity enjoy the art.

Across the walkway from the Crowne Plaza is the Artist's Union Gallery. Curator Rude Calden creations of the "Politics Of Green" an art gallery showing to be held from August 7th - September 13th. All things green (politically, ecologically, financially, holistically) have come to a head, a crossroads, a climax of differing viewpoints and interests. As artists and citizens, it is our decision to confront and question the issues that affect our lives and society, especially in an ever more globalization world culture.

| GALLERY 255 PRESENTS
The Inkspots of San Buenaventura
September 2009, the Inkspots of San Buenaventura will be showcasing their latest works at an exhibit at Gallery 255, located at 255 South Laurel Street, Ventura, CA. They are a talented and eclectic group of resident artists at Sea Breeze Art Studios.
Some interesting points about the Inkspots:
- Since group formed in 2007, collectively they have had three major shows and individually have been in twenty eight juried shows
- Diverse group of artists, with varied backgrounds in health education, art therapy, microbiology, industrial design, motion picture and video production, teaching, photography, and fine art.
- L.A. Magazine and Santa Barbara Printmakers Group Articles
- Members of the group have collectors throughout the United States and Europe.
- Will offer a limited edition folio of prints (one from each of the ten artists) during their show.
